The Guyana Amazon Warriors and the Trinbago Knight Riders both have three matches remaining and have already locked down their place in the CPL 2019 playoffs. The Guyana Amazon Warriors are unbeaten in CPL 2019 so far and are almost guaranteed the top spot. The Trinbago Knight Riders, on the other hand, need one more win from its remaining three matches to be guaranteed a top-2 finish as well. A top-2 finish ensures that the teams have an additional chance of making it to the grand final. The Trinbago Knight Riders have lost their most recent two completed matches, which is a bit of a shock. We consider them as one of the strongest sides in this competition with perhaps the deepest batting lineup and a very good bowling attack as well. A rare batting failure against the Barbados Tridents while chasing down a large total was responsible for their loss in the previous game. A target of 192 is never easy but it becomes near impossible when the side loses too many early wickets. Against the unbeaten Guyana Amazon Warriors, a very strong batting side as well, the Trinbago Knight Riders cannot hope to win by being below their best. Sunil Narine, Lendl Simmons, Colin Munro, Darren Bravo, Kieron Pollard, Denesh Ramdin, and Jimmy Neesham in one side are a formidable lineup. Any one of these players can playa match-winning inning. We really think that Kieron Pollard is the most dangerous batsmen in this entire lineup and that he must find a way to bat in the top-4. That will give him the maximum chance of playing match-winning innings. The bowling will have to bat at its best as well against the in-form Guyana Amazon Warriors. Sunil Narine, Kharry Pierre, Ali Khan, Kieron Pollard, Seekkuge Prasanna, and Jimmy Neesham form the bowling attack. The onus of taking wickets is likely to fall on Narine and the spinners while the seamers will want to keep things tight. We have seen already that Ali Khan and James Neesham can go for plenty of runs on off-days. GUYANA AMAZON WARRIORS Seven matches and seven victories are something to be proud of for the Guyana Amazon Warriors. They still have the opportunity to register a perfect season in the CPL. A brilliant spin-bowling attack and a batting order in terrific form have helped the Guyana Amazon Warriors be unbeatable so far. Brandon King, Chandrapaul Hemraj, Shimron Hetmyer, Shoaib Malik, Nicholas Pooran, and Sherfane Rutherford have all played decisive innings in this CPL already. This means that the opposing teams can never take things easy when playing against the Warriors. We are impressed to see the manner in which Brandon King has taken to the CPL. He is a young, upcoming opening batsman and certainly looks to be a possible West Indian international player down the line. The same things are true for the bowling. Imran Tahir, Chris Green, and Qaid Ahmed (if needed) provide a varied variety of options to the Warriors. The good bowling form of Shoaib Malik means that Guyana has been playing with two front-line spinners and using their captain as the third. Ben Laughlin, Odean Smith, Romario Shepherd, and even Chandrapaul Hemraj make up the rest of the bowling attack. The Guyana Amazon Warriors have one of the best bowling attacks in the entire tournament and that is why they are always going to be a threat on any surface that they play.
