Analysis: Masterson has lost eight games for the Tribe this season (team start wise) and ALL EIGHT have been decided by more than two runs, with the last three being -4/-5/-3 on the scale. Indians also fit a 1-7 underdog angle and are facing John Danks, he of hte 1.96 Home ERA this season. The last two times he has faced the Indians the ChiSox have won 6-1 and 7-2, and I see another comfortable win this time around

Analysis:

The Phillies are 3-12 their last 15 games and the three wins were by margins of 3-2, 1-0 and 3-2 respectively.  They have not scored more than 3 runs in each of their last twelve games.  In yesterday’s 3-2 win, they were out-hit 10-6 by the Padres, but benefited from five free passes.  With Moyer going, the Phillies are going to need a lot more than three runs to win, so we’ll grab the price.

Many will point out that Moyer is off an excellent start, going six innings and allowing one run on four hits.  This is true.  However, it is also true that the Phillies are 0-7 with Moyer at home when he is off a road start in which he went at least six innings and allowed fewer than six hits.  Not surprisingly, the Phillies were favored in six of the seven starts.

The Padres bounce back nicely when they are off a loss in which they allowed a lot of walks.  San Diego is a perfect 9-0 off a loss as a dog in which they gave up at least five walks.  This season, they are 3-0 under these conditions, winning 17-2 as a 125 home dog to the Braves, winning 4-1 as a 120 road dog in Florida and shutting out the Brewers 8-0 in a pick-em game.  That’s outscoring their opponent by a 29-3.  Wow.

Garland is off two straight quality starts, in which he went seven innings in each.  The Padres won the two starts 1-0 and 3-2 respectively.  The Padres are terrific in the role of road dog when their starter is pitching well.  In fact, San Diego is 7-1 when they won their starter’s last two starts and they are a road dog.  Their only loss in this situation came yesterday, by a 3-2 margin vs Halladay.  Jamie Moyer is no Roy Halladay. Finally, Philadelphia is a money-burning 0-5 at home when they are off a win in which they came back from a deficit.  All five games are from THIS season and Philly lost by an average of 3.8 runs at an average line of minus 178.  Grab the price.

Analysis: Playoff series involve game to game adjustments and tonight we can expect Boston to have made some adjustments defensively to contain the Lakers' insides game and prevent as many second chance points as they allowed in Game One.  These teams remain evenly matched and the Celtics can be expected to put forth a much better defensive effort tonight which suggests this game goes right to the wire with the Celtics having an excellent chance at the outright upset. But rather than playing the money line the preferred option is to respect the Lakers' home court and take the generous points in a game that handicaps as a one bucket contest.

Confío en Cliff Lee, pitcherazo que ha dado sólo 3 bases por bolas y 25 ponches en sus últimas 3 aperturas, además los Mariners están 14-6 en sus últimos 20 como favoritos.

He visto a Scott Feldman y se ha visto inconsistente a la hora de lanzar, es cierto que los bates de Seattle no andan tampoco muy encendidos que digamos pero hoy habrá manera de encontrar esos pitcheos con la lesión de brazo del pitcher contrario que parece sigue dandole problemas.

Analysis: NBA FINALS GAME 3 BEST BET (705) LA LAKERS at (706) BOSTON 9:05 PM - NBA Finals - Game 3 - Best of 7 - Series tied 1-1

Like they did on Sunday night at the Staples Center, the Celtics must push the pace if they want to take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 series. The only way Boston can continue their winning ways against the current LA club is by scoring 100 points (like they did in Game 2). While this might seem a stretch considering that the Celts are considered a defensive minded team, especially in the Garden, they can't and won't play a perimeter style man-to-man like they did against the Magic, and they are at a disadvantage in most man-on-man matchups against the Lakers first seven players.

The Lakers didn't travel well this season and although the Celtics didn't dominate on their home court this season, they are as healthy as they've been the entire year and will be juiced for Game 3 sitting on a chance to take a 2-1 lead against the Finals favorite.

Not only will the Celtics be more competitive on the boards they will create more turnovers on their home floor. In the first two contests in LA the Lakers were able to win the battle of the boards and limit their turnovers. With an up and down pace expected on Tuesday Nite in the Garden taking the Celtics on the side with a dead number (-2 to -3) offers supreme value.

While we rarely pimp, promote or sector days of the week, there is something to be said for Tuesday night games in the Association. Both teams are typically rested in this situation. This will be the case in Tuesday's Game 3. Playing to the OVER on a team playing only their second game in five days that averages over 50 points and shoots better than 48 percent from the floor in the first half of home contests while allowing their opponent to average 18 or more assists and seven steals per contest when oddsmakers open the total between 190 and 194.5 points has cashed at a 80% (42-11) clip over the last five NBA campaigns. The Celtics are also 20-8 to the OVER in home games the last two seasons against teams (LA) that average more than 83 shots per game, with the average final score exceeding 209 points.

Analysis:

This is a key series in the American League Central Divisional battle and it all starts tonight when Scott Baker and Freddy Garcia square off. After what seemed like an atrocious stretch this season, Scott Baker has finally settled in and has tossed three solid consecutive outings for the first time this season. He is coming off of his best start of the season whre he tossed eight innings of shut out ball against Tampa Bay while striking out seven batters. Over his last three starts he has a 2.21 ERA and a 0.93 WHIP. Granted two of the teams he faced were Baltimore and Seattle but as I just said he did shut down one of the best hitting teams in baseball. The Twins are 6-1 in his last seven starts against the White Sox. In a visit to Chicago earlier this season he tossed 7 innings of one run ball for the victory. Baker seems to step up against the competition, as he is 5-1 in his last six starts against a team with a winning record. The Twins are hot 12-3 in their last 15 and 17-5 in the last 22 meetings. Freddy Garcia is 1-2 this year against the Twins who I feel are the better team. Take the dog price with Minnesota.
